Maestro Sound-Port

Posted in Uncategorized on March 20th, 2011 by Maestro

When you play a standard acoustic guitar, you never hear the true sound that the guitar is producing as you will be hearing reflected sound. That is why you get someone else to play it for you so you can hear it or otherwise you will be playing a guitar in a corner, or close to a wall. Do you find yourself leaning over the side of the guitar, or angling the guitar upward, so your ear is more in line with the sound hole?

Now, with the benefit of a Maestro Sound Port, you can hear the true sound your guitar is producing. The sound port directs a portion of the guitars true sound to the player. The results are truly amazing! It is like having your very own personal sound monitor built into your Maestro Guitar.

Blindfold tests prove that there is absolutely no loss of energy with a sound port. In fact, the results are quite the opposite. There is a discernable gain in sound hole projection, as well as a 360 degree sound gain around the player. Sound-port options are available at an extra $100 for all custom guitars.

PS: Not many guitar companies are wiling to show the interior of their works. Look at our tight dove-tail joints, hand-made rosettes and clean carbon-fibre rods channels!!

Introducing our new Masterclass Series

Posted in Uncategorized on November 14th, 2010 by Maestro

After months of research and hardwork, we are finally ready to lift the curtains on our all new Masterclass series. One of the main differentiating factor for the new batch would be an extra 20th fret on the high E-string. Workmanship is also upgraded with greater attention to details for example a bevel binding as well as a slight volute on the neck for enhanced strength. How can we forget to mention that all Maestro solid-top and above are enhanced with our patented carbon reinforced neck for durability. Something our Spanish counterparts don’t even get it. =)

Limited Edition: Macassar Ebony Ukuleles

Posted in Uncategorized on November 12th, 2010 by Maestro

Striped Macassar Ebony is a hardwood used for sides and backs. It comes from East Indonesia and is highly sought for both its striking appearance as well as its tone.  Ebony is a dense wood, therefore it is a little heavier than most tone woods but this only serves to enhance it’s rich tone. The ebony imparts bass notes that are full, yet not overpowering. Expected release date: JAN 2011
